Bef's 21st

Bethanie's 21st birthday party happened on her birthday, 23rd May, in Melbourne. She chose "Choose your own adventure" as the theme and asked people to dress up. It was a wonderful night and a tribute to a beautiful, caring and very much loved young woman. Happy Birthday gorgeous Bef!!!! Wayne came as a gangster.
His son Timothy was a slightly cuter elf.

Bef's uni friends came as the swine flu swat team - hilarious!
Check out the ears on Peter (who came as the BFG)

Sparkler time - and singing happy birthday.

Sharon and Julie have hardly changed over the years.

Ah it's the Shafto family - hang on Jess was a little girl and Christopher a toddler last time I saw them!

Ross turned up with a boogie board with some "plant matter" strapped to it - ah la Shapelle.

Rod, Peter and John - a merry mob!
Into the cake!

Dad and Nic, Nic came as an antarctic explorer (she got hot) and dad was a pirate (as part of the Johnson pirate mob)

Mum and Dad.

Lachlan, Bethanie, Matthew and Kathleen.
Michelle - what happened to the curly hair and glasses????

Lauren and her boyfriend.
Speech time.

Kathleen Jessop.... seems very friendly with that bottle.
Julia giving her gorgeous speech.
Uncle John with his glass of red.
Uncle John again.

Jess.... hang on, she was a little girl last time I saw her.
John and Jan Smith.

Bef's whole family (missing Sheree, Eli and Uncle Pete).

Ella, Aviva and Gene - all the way from Bellingen.

Speech time.

Dad and John yacking.
The cake.

Jess, Michelle, Mum and Anne Potter.
Ohhhhh they do love each other.

A kiss and cuddle.

Bef and the swine flu swat team.

Bef and Matthew Jessop.

Canoeing Adventures up the River

I had a wonderful time in the first week of the holidays canoeing up the Shoalhaven River at Kangaroo Valley with Ross and his friends Michelle and Murphy. We canoed and camped over several days and really enjoyed the quiet, the solitude, the wildlife (sugar gliders, lyrebirds, possums, goats, kangaroos, water dragons and a whole range of other wildlife), great food, a campfire and amazing swims. It was bliss!!!!! Please enjoy my photos.

This is the gorgeous Ross (though he will hate me for this photo - it's a slightly mad photo which really doesn't do him justice.... but hey we had been canoeing for a couple of days and he had been suffering my awful puns and jokes).
